AHH, I am so HA-freaking-PPY! right now! Why?
Because the Internet connection is back on! YAY!
Unfortunately due to the Internet's sudden death, I was unable to update on the wonderful orientation I had thus far. Let's start with day1.
ps: I am extremely sorry for not having any photos to show you guys since I did not bring along my Sony digital camera. I did not want to scare off my new peers with my paparazzi-ness!
But, I will try to get some pictures from my OGLs soon.
DAY1
This was an extremely nerve wrecking day for me. I was so scared that I would arrive late that I left the house at 0630 hours.
I had the worst bus ride ever!
Note to self: Never sit under the aircon if you have a long journey ahead of you!
I was shivering and blowing hot air in the subzero temperature! okay, exaggerating. But, it was cold, for sure!
Anyhoo, Yuhui and I realised that Yan Chong is in NJC as well! So, YAY! Now, there's 3 of us!
Alas, we were placed in different OGs.
The first person whom I talked to was WAYNE! This guy is super mysterious can? He will go to the toilet and disappear for such a long period of time!
I soon found out that his disappearances were due to the fact that he was chatting up an old friend. lol.
By the way, not many knew where the hell Kranji Sec was! tsk. I don't blame them!
So, the NJC canteen is small! At least it was smaller than our Kranji canteen! Bummer.
However, they sold snacks and Ice Blended which were never allowed to be sold in KSS!
On this day of pure boredom, Siew Yee[I Think?], the president of council told us that the first 3 days of orientation would be admin week while the next 5 days would be fun week!
As expected, our first two days were filled with talks and more talks. Lucky enough for me, I brought along a story book to keep me company during those long treacherous talks.
DAY2
Basically, day2 was just as boring as day1, with the usual code of conduct talk etcetera etcetera.
The highlight was the mass dance which I totally screwed. My folkdance skills in KSS was no help. AT ALL! My dance partner was Jocelyn. She is such a sweet girl but quiet at the same time.
Day3
This was most certainly the best day of the week. Without a doubt!
Despite the counseling and development talks, the mass dance was kind of made up for all the bore.
Then, there was this CCA carnival at 2pm in which we were given a chance to better know the CCAs found in NJC.
I signed up for Swimming, Hockey and OAC.
I have given it much thought and decide that maybe Hockey would be best!
Yay hockey!
At night we had an OG dinner with the Agorix mates.
Meet new people from other OGs as well!
Hungrily, we indulged ourselves in cold Canadian Pizza.
After which, we played a few icebreaker games like Blow Wind Blow, Make People Smile and Elope. Some of the games were how do I put it....? Violent? lol. But it was much fun!
We headed back home at around 8pm since the gate was about to be locked up.
In the 67 bus, I met some people who lived in the CCK area as well, namely Lei hoy and Akash! Yay! We chatted a hell lot during the bus ride.
Okay, that about sums up the week!
ORIENTATION DAY 4 ON MONDAY!!! Can't wait!

Of course not all are mentioned here. All of those peeps in NJC are friends. These are just a few of the significant ones who managed to make me talk non stop! hah!
On day 4 we would be placed into new OGs yet again, this time in order of class! So, can't wait to meet the new classmates(:
